Vocab:

curse (v.) = to say a bad word罵髒話
swear word (n.) = a bad word髒話
Occasional cursing can help relieve pain, a British study says.
The study by a University in England found that people who held their hands in ice water and repeated a swear word could keep their hands in the water approximately 40 seconds longer than those who repeated a word that was not a swear word.
The study also found that those who curse as many as 60 times a day receive less pain relief than those who don’t curse that much.
Some professors said the study was interesting, but not very useful.
