Learning a foreign language is about learning to express yourself through a new medium and having the confidence to communicate effectively without fear of making mistakes. It's the teacher's job to engage students and foster confidence while maintaining a fun and positive learning environment so that each student can achieve their language learning goals.
I tend to favor the student- centered approach to teaching. Encouraging and fostering learning with as much student activity as possible.
Bearing in mind the individual needs of students while keeping them integrated in the group exercise, and having fun while getting the job done.
I believe it is essential to create a learning environment that facilitates as much student participation as possible. I achieve this by being approachable and sensitive to the students' learning needs. In addition, it is necessary to create lesson plans that promote student talk time and allow me to correct students when necessary.
I strive to give students the ability to discuss the topics that are important to them. I believe that it's important to be able to understand each student's unique difficulties and goals, and subsequently to tailor my teaching approach to leave them feeling satisfied, engaged, and interested in the materials I've taught.
I always try to make learning fun, but at the same time provide motivation and concrete suggestions on how the student may improve his/her English.
I like to engage in active discussion with my students to try to get them to think for themselves. I believe that If students really want to learn and are interested in a subject learning will come easier for them.
