Teaching and learning is not about Regurgitating facts for my students to memorize. Learning is a multi step process Wherein students hear the information, see a demonstration, demonstrate it themselves, then apply how that skill they just learned could be used in their daily life. Just because I am the teacher does not mean I have learned everything that I need to know. As much as I want my students to respect me as their teacher and an adult, I know that you cannot ask for respect until you give it. As long as students have a calm, respectful, and curious place to learn, then they can expand their minds.
