My name is Erica. I graduated from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University at Denver, Colorado. I majored in general business with marketing elective courses. I had one year work experience in an advertising company in USA and over a year as a sales representative in Taiwan. The ages of my students are from 8 years old in the buxiban. Besides teaching children English, I also teach junior high school English, high school English, TOEIC, and GEPT as well. As an English teacher, I don’t teach all the students in the same way. I focus on listening and speaking when I teach children English. Grammar and reading skills are the priorities for my junior high students. For those who learn GEPT in my class, I spend more time on how to answer listening and reading questions and do a lot of practice. Also, I have my students speak ENGLISH ONLY for 20 minutes in the class so that they can face the second test of GEPT easily. About GEPT writing, I assign the homework for the students every week and grade the paper on my own. The one by one explanation is after the class. One of the most challenging class for me is English for the senior high. Since improving their grades is the only reason they come to the buxiban, I have to get the materials ready as detailed as possible and spend a lot of time grading their writings. Besides pupils and the youth, I also deliver TOEFL class to adult students every Sunday in order to build up my teaching experience in advanced English courses.
